The Red House Mystery

First published in 1922, "The Red House Mystery" is a mystery novel by A.A. Milne, an English author popular for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh and children’s poetry. Milne was mainly a playwright before the tremendous sensation of Pooh outweighed all his earlier work.

A.A. Milne was born in London in 1882 and became a successful playwright and poet. He based Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and friends on the real nursery toys of his son Christopher Robin and published the first of their adventures in 1926.
