Book Description

Author, preacher, and Bible instructor Henry (Harry) Allan Ironside lived in America from 1876 until 1951. Ironside wrote numerous books, pamphlets, and essays covering a wide range of Bible subjects. He spent eighteen years as the pastor of Chicago's Moody Memorial Church. Author of over 100 books, booklets and tracts, H. A. Ironside was a bulwark of orthodox Evangelical Fundamentalism. He wrote on everything from Jewish history, to New Testament doctrine, to eschatology, to Bible commentaries and more.
God's people's history from the end of the Old Testament to the beginning of the New Testament is told in this book. Ironside wrote not just a "chronological outline of events, or a series of biographical sketches, but to trace throughout lessons and warnings for any who today, as those in the days of Nehemiah, have sought to return to and obey the word of God, in separation from the infidelity and apostasy of the times."

Author Biography

Henry Allen "Harry" Ironside (October 14, 1876-January 15, 1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author.

Ironside was one of the most prolific Christian writers of the 20th Century and published more than eighty books and pamphlets, many of which are still in print. As an editorial reviewer wrote of a 2005 republication, "Ironside's commentaries are a standard and have stood the test of time."
